Cloth or Disposable?

Odd day, very odd.
Today as I tried to listen to the president address the Democrats in congress, I was constantly distracted by the incessant shrieking cry of a child. Being a brand-spanking new dad, I rushed over to my tiny bundle of bowel/bladder function to find her peacefully sleeping - it then occurred to me that the crying child was Obama.

And somebody needs a diaper change.

Truly, this is pathetic.
I take no joy in finding my president to be a petulant child.
Obviously, principled disagreement is just not in the cards here but I'd much rather just think he was corrupt, an idiot or just about anything else.
But no.
He's a child.

The State of the Union address was an egregiously long temper tantrum.
Today's address/tirade to the Democrats was more of the same.

It was said of Bill Clinton, that he was an extraordinarily good liar. They didn't call him 'slick Willy' for liberal application of KY Jelly I suppose. That being said, one could generally tell when he was lying - and that he knew it was a game. G.W. Bush just wasn't smooth enough to be a good liar - and on those occasions when he did (those fiscal gems like Medicare reform and proposed Social Security fixes) he seemed either uncomfortable or more confused that usual.

Obama is altogether different. Water is wet and politicians lie, but it is more than that. He lies with the effortless deluded grace of 2 year old. He is truly the center of his own universe and seems mystified that everybody doesn't agree...and when they don't - tantrums are forthcoming.

I wonder if there is a stack of diapers and wipes in magic podium?
Maybe the magic podium reads him bedtime stories?

Sadly, recent events have not proved to be the spanking one would think.
  • Revelations of the failure of TARP? Irrelevant to the Infant in Chief. His reality continues to see it as a success.
  • Current implosion of Obamacare? More of the same. He thinks if he stomps his feet and yells loudly enough, he will get his way
  • Unemployment? That's OK. People will like him if he just gives them toys (e.g., entitlement programs)
  • The Massachusetts debacle? That really wasn't about him.. even though all of the exit polls clearly indicated it as such. Apparently, his friend the magic podium said not to pay any attention to the mean people...
  • KSM and the underpants bomber backlash? Obama clearly has a unique version of 'cops and robbers' in his deranged imagination... he may yet threaten to take his toys and go home

If he said 'na na nee boo boo' at a press conference, I really wouldn't be that surprised...

I wish we could send the little bastard to bed without supper
or an allowance...

yet I digress - and I have a diaper to change.

At least when my daughter messes her diaper, I'm the only one who needs to clean it -
when the Infant in Chief soils himself it takes more than a village..
more than a nation..
likely more than a generation.

That's a lot of poo.
and it stinks.
