State of Stupidity

It is said that 'arrogance comes before the fall'
Sadly, it appears that arrogance comes not only before the fall, but during and after as well.

or maybe, he's right
maybe he is that smart
perhaps the cult of demagoguery surrounding the president is well-deserved
perhaps that tingle that ran up Chris Matthews leg wasn't creepy after all...

.....

and...no

Dear God in heaven, but our president is arrogant.
He makes Clinton's fabled narcissism seem like a childhood phase
and Bush's much maligned intellect seem comparatively Einstein-ish

Obama was touted as a the great charismatic communicator..
yet he just can't make us understand, can he?....and if you listen to the White House rhetoric - that is the current spin..
for you see, in the eyes of the Obama administration -
We are ignorant.
We are sheep.
Even the favored flock of Massachusetts has displayed a lack of faith - the election of Scott Brown to Ted Kennedy's old seat means only that ideas were not communicated properly. Efforts need only be redoubled
If We The People only knew...
If we could only glimpse a true understanding of his policies and know how wonderful and transformational they really were... just like him...just like him

Or maybe, just maybe he is a bad parody of an elitist uber-lib, new millennium style - and by 'maybe' i mean 'duh' - with the subtext being, this guy is a complete jackass.
A dangerously ignorant and out of touch jackass.
There,
I said it.
Perhaps is the utter and complete lack of sleep that accompanies fatherhood that has broken down my self-stated desire to not make such a personally derisive statement - but at this point, I really can't say I care.
Its the truth

The Great Communicator is failing... the delusions become harder and harder to spin - the lies less and less palatable for The People to swallow...

and so it goes..

We The People do not want Obamacare
We do not want another 'stimulus' or 'jobs bill' or whatever thinly veiled focus
group bullshit guise it is being presented as these days
We want terrorists tried as the affronts to humanity that they are, not as criminals
and certainly not in a civilian court
We want a responsive, effective, elected, transparent government - not this sham of
closed-door bribery/negotiations laden with czars and cronies
We want a government that monitors and regulates industry, not one that takes over
means of production

and we have been asleep at the switch - and Ayn Rand is saying 'I told you so' from beyond the grave...
but maybe she is starting to smile
Because maybe, just maybe, We The People are starting to wake up.
Massachusetts....
Heh.
'The Shot Heard 'Round the World' and all of that.
Who knew?

and so, my fellow Americans, the State of Stupidity is this. We are currently under the thumb of a Demagogue in Chief, surrounded by ideologues and idiots with an overwhelming majority in both houses of Congress..
but the tide is turning.
The People have spoken.
Obama may not listen (ok, he won't listen because he is a progressive zombie, but I digress) but those up for re-election will.

Looking into my daughter's eyes (as she empties her bladder on me for the 12th time today) I realize that there is too much at stake.

The State of Stupidity must end.
November can't come soon enough.

  1. Aces. I've had a "you can't trust any of them" attitude for too long. This guy is worse. I hope we get some of that "change" after November. I hope Obama doesn't get credit for an inevitable recovery he has only delayed.
